Art - Environmental Issues (sorry for the delay :P)

So I have done some research about environmental issues, our home work was to find 10 and circle the 3 most important. In my opinion the top three most concerning environmental issues are:

1. Air pollution - because we need air to live and a lot of factories are poluting the air with different gases.
2. Water pollution - again this is one of the essential thing for living and  water is a finite resource, that means that we can't produce it.
3. Extinct and endangered animals - I am not sure if this is an environmental issue but its still very important because we are also animals and we cannot let animals be extinct we need them for food, clothes and many other things.

We also had to write some benefits and in our opinion on why we think two or more things from nature are the most important. We had to link that to one of Andy Goldsworthy arts.

Then in last week's lesson we took a look around school to find materials that we could use to make our own Andy Goldsworthy piece of art, we can only use natural materials not man made.

After going around school we came back and I made a brain storm about the sculpture I could make with these materials. So I decided to make a sea (beach) water movement, using; sand, leaves (the ones that are on the floor, and white rocks. My idea is that the sand will be the background, the leaves will be the waves doing a kind of arch, and the white rocks will be the crush in the end of the wave.

The title is IDEAS but the colour inside the lettersdont appear because the colour (florescent yellow) was too bright.

Tree Path - Art

This week we had to create our own Andy Goldsworthy piece of art. This (on the right) is my piece, I was inspired by the temporary round sculptures that he makes. The name of my piece is  "Tree path" because of the materials I used

I used tree skin from my mothers "garden", we had to use organic things so that we don't polute the Earth and I found it very interesting and unusual to use this material.

For the middle I used dead leaves, again I used something that won't pollute the world and will go back to nature.

I was defenitly inspired by one of the arts that Ms. Barker showed us like this one. I wanted to do something similar but original.

Art - FINISHED!!!

WE FINISHED!!! YAY!!!
We have finished our project if you didn't notice... its great! we were able to synchronize the voices an put the effects and texts! I really like our movie! Although if we had had more time we could maybe have made more scenes and more voices. However i think what was good was that we were able to make the photos, texts and voices come to together and make sense (i hope! :P)! I am really proud of the work and i think it is awesome!

Art - process

In this art lesson we started to edit our movie, we are almost finished! The only thing we have to do is record the voices and put credits. We are using IMovie to edit our film. For the voices, Kushboo will be the fire fighter and I will be the narrator.

Song evaluation

Payphone

The song that i decide to evaluated is payphone. It is from the album overexposed that was released on the 26 of june 2012. It was a great hit, the music video had 60,104,809 views. In this song the performers and the instruments they play are:

• Adam Levine – lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar
• Jesse Carmichael – keyboards, rhythm guitar 
• Mickey Madden – bass guitar
• James Valentine – lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals
• Matt Flynn – drums, percussion 
• Wiz Khalifa - rapper

The song is about a romance between two people but one of them didnt appreciate the other. It has a fast tempo and the song connects completely to the subject.

The song starts with the chorus of the song and goes to a verse here is the complete structure:

•  Intro- There is no introduction the song starts with the chorus
• Verse - the verse starts at 0:18, it starts with "I know it's hard to remember...." also in 1:28 with "You turn your back on tomorrow...
• Bridge - the bridge starts at 0:36, 1:46 with "I've wasted my nights..."
• Chorus - The chorus starts at 0:52, 2:02, and 3:03 with "I'm at a payphone...."
• Middle 8 - the middle 8 begins at 2:36 with " Now baby don't hang up..."

The hook of the song is "I'm at a payphone", the hook appears 6 times in the song! This song has no riff
My opinion
In my opinion this is great song because it's very catchy and it's not electronic. The hook is very catchy and the lyrics are very meaningful and some people can relate to them.

Art Process

The Story Board!

I am not sure is you can understand my story board therefore i will explain it:

1st Square

Henry is a firefighter and he is relaxing in the fire house when suddenly the emergency bell rings! "Some house is on fire! I must go!"

2nd Square

Henry gets on the fire truck and goes to the house

3rd Square

Henry gets to the house and realizes how big the fire is, then the officer says,
"You can't enter it is too dangerous! There is no use ricking your life if there is no one in there!"

4th Square

Then suddenly he hears a scream for help and runs in!

5th Square

Henry runs inside the house and sees a little girl crying and screaming so he decides to save her!

6th Square

Henry gets her and takes her outside, from then on he is known as a hero!

Now it is time to bring the drawing alive, here are some pictures of our process!!!

In this picture as you can see is our house which at some point will be on fire! Just kidding! For our house we used legos and for the fire we will use paper. It might seem that nothing could possibly go wrong with a lego house, believe me, you are wrong! I had built the whole house at home but unfortunately when I got to school, although I brought it in a big box, the house came falling appart an me and Khushboo had to build it all over again! However in the end it worked so it all turned out ok!

Here you can see my partner, Khushboo, drawing the fire that will turn out like the picture above (sorry for the picture not being under, it just won't move!). Soon our incredible hero will fight through  those flames to save a little girl who is in danger! Are you interested? In few weeks you'll see him in action! ;)

 This is our cute little fire car all made up of lego! It will carry our fire fighter all the way to the house which is in flames. Do you want to know who it is? Keep on reading!!!

Here is our super hero! Spiderman! Joking! Our super hero is the one in the left with the green sleeves but as you can see he is very famous, he even knows spiderman! Henry (the super hero) is also made out of lego.

Art

The art project we are doing is a stop motion animation. I am doing my project with Khushboo, the project has to demonstrate courage and bravery. Therefore for our project we decided to do a firefighter who risks his own life to save another. We are doing most of these things with Lego and paper, it is very hard because we have to take lots pictures but it is still lots of fun. I'll put up some pictures in the next few days!

   14 and 15.The hook is very catchy and the song isn't a very electronically (that makes you want to kill yourself). I would recommended to other because it is very nice to listen to and some people might be able to connect with it.

Best Band

In my oppinion the best rock band that ever existed was Queen because they have great songs and a variety of styles like "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" which is rock 'like' or "Love of My Life" which is a slow song and romantic. Also because Freddie Mercury is very famous and he rocks!
